21+ Age Verification & Adult Signature Policy (ASR)

1. Federal Minimum Age Requirement
Under Federal Law (21 U.S.C. 387f(d)) and the Federal Tobacco 21 legislation signed into law in December 2019, it is illegal for any retailer to sell tobacco products—including premium handmade cigars, cigarillos, pipe tobacco, and tobacco accessories—to any person under 21 years of age. GDP Distro LLC enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against underage sales.
2. Automated Identity & Age Verification at Checkout
All online orders placed through GDP Distro undergo automated real-time age verification via certified third-party verification networks (utilizing public identity records, electoral rolls, and credit bureau databases). Customers must provide their legal name, billing address, and date of birth. If automated verification cannot establish 21+ eligibility, the customer will be prompted to upload a government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
3. Mandatory 21+ Adult Signature Required (ASR) Delivery
In compliance with federal carrier agreements and state tobacco regulations:
- Every shipment containing tobacco is dispatched with Adult Signature Required (21+ ASR).
- Couriers (FedEx Express / Courier Handover) will require the recipient to present a valid government photo ID demonstrating age 21 or older before releasing the package.
- Packages will never be left unattended on doorsteps or in mail receptacles.
- Deliveries to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO military addresses, or freight forwarders are strictly prohibited for tobacco products.
